One of the hidden costs for IT teams is email management, retrieval, security, continuity and storage. And one of the challenges is planning for migration, for example to Office 365 or to the Cloud.

Central worked with Bromsgrove District Housing Trust to understand the demands for email services – and future plans for the organisation. This resulted in the implementation of Cryoserver.

  • Saving time and money

    Bromsgrove recognised that email was absorbing a disproportionate amount of IT resource and funding. It was also under closer scrutiny at board level as part of a review of information security and disaster recovery processes.

    A review of the key issues for it included service maintenance including service desk support, email retrieval for individuals and departments including HR, backup and the costs of storage.

    A major concern was long term system flexibility allowing for a planned Office 365 migration.

    With seamless integration into Outlook and a simple-to-use and intuitive interface implementation of Cryoserver across more than 150 mailboxes was delivered over a two day period.

    Central’s onsite engineers oversaw the implementation and provided initial IT staff systems training with Cryoserver teams providing an introduction to user functionality. With secure cloud based hosting and storage the Cryoserver solution addressed business concerns on email continuity, Disaster Recovery and Data Protection.

    Ongoing service support is provided by Central as part of its service desk package includuing license updates and facilitation of the move by Bromsgrove to Office365.
